Position involves managing and maintaining a fleet of field vehicles and water craft, research assistance and field work on a variety of projects (marine and terrestrial), and setting up scientific research experiments.

2006 – Present: Ecologist, LesryK Environmental Consultants, NSW.

Responsibilities include ecological surveys, habitat assessment, project management, literature and database searches, report preparation and consultation with government departments, local councils and other environmental consultants.

Consultancy History:

An on site presence and investigation of habitat trees proposed to be removed adjacent to Galston Gorge Road, Galston. Study undertaken on behalf of the NSW Roads and Traffic Authority.

An on site presence and investigation of habitat trees proposed to be removed, Rouse Hill Recycle Water Plant. Works undertaken at the request of Urban Bushland Management Consultants on behalf of Sydney Water.

An ecological assessment conducted as part of a proposal to install a sewage pipeline within the Wagga Wagga Local Government Area undertaken on behalf of Patterson Britton and Partners Pty Ltd and Wagga Wagga City Council.

A targeted microchiropteran survey undertaken as part of a proposal to fill derelict mine shafts and adits located in Upper Bingara. Works undertaken on behalf of the Department of Primary Industries – Mineral Resources.

An ecological assessment conducted as part of a proposal to install a recycled water pipeline along Cattai Creek and Smalls Creek in Rouse Hill. Works undertaken at the request of Urban Bushland Management Consultants for Sydney Water.

A bandicoot monitoring project undertaken as part of a development proposal on St Patrick’s Estate, North Head, Manly. Works undertaken on behalf of Lend Lease.

A flora and fauna investigation of a footpath proposed to be established within the St Patrick’s Estate, North Head, Manly – impact on the Long-nosed Bandicoot endangered population. Works undertaken on behalf of Lend Lease.

A targeted mammal survey as part of an opportunities and constraints analysis for the Caltex Refinery, Kurnell. Works undertaken at the request of Urban Bushland Management Consultants for the Caltex Oil Refinery.

A fauna survey & assessment of impacts, proposed residential development, Moss Vale Road, Moss Vale. Works undertaken at the request of Campbell Luscombe Folk and Lichtman Architects.

An ecological assessment conducted as part of a proposal to install a water pipeline between Fennell Bay and Toronto, Lake Macquarie. Works undertaken at the request of Patterson and Britton & Partners Pty Ltd, for Hunter Water.
